Shocking Run-In at the Market with My Ex-Mother-in-Law: She’s Unrecognizable Now!

Surprise Encounter at the Market with My Ex-Mother-in-Law: Shes Unrecognisable!

Last Saturday at the market, I bumped into my ex-mother-in-law. Shed changed so muchlooked older, worn down. I rushed over straight away, said hello, and we got chatting about life. She didnt complain about her son, but I could tell things were tough for her. She said goodbye but kept insisting I call her the next day. I feel so sorry for herI lived in her house for 10 years and was treated well. Then her son brought home a new wife, saying shed be better than me.

My husband and I lived with his mum for a decade. James always said we didnt need to buy a place because his mum had no one else, and the house would be ours eventually. It rubbed me the wrong wayhe shouldnt have spoken like that. When I moved in, I realised his mum was lovelyquiet, kind, full of warmth.

After we married, James completely changed towards me. Even having our son didnt fix things. I never felt like we had a proper relationship. The only person I could talk to honestly was his mum. Out of respect, I never badmouthed him, but she understood everything. She helped me raise our boytook him to nursery, then school, always cooked for us.

Ten years passed, and out of nowhere, James said he wanted a divorce. He refused to leave the house, claiming it was his. Said *I* should go. For the first time, his mum stepped in, begging him to reconsider, to think of the family, our son. But it was no usehed made up his mind. I packed my things and left. He moved his new wife in straight after. I rented a room from an elderly woman.

Moneys tight nowI earn just enough to get by. My son and I live under someone elses roof. The landlady isnt cruel, but shes hard to pleasealways finding fault. Weve started eating meals in our room to avoid her.

Then, at the local market, I saw my ex-mother-in-law again. Her eyes were so sad. She didnt say a word against James, but I could tell she wasnt happy at home either. We talked properly, and she begged me to call her. Id take her in if I couldwed look after each other. Shes a good soul. But Ive barely got a place to live myself. What on earth do I do?
