I Kicked My Wife Out and Shielded My Daughter After Discovering Where She Was Taking the Little Girl

I threw my wife out of the house and shielded my daughter from her after discovering where she had been taking the girl.

My wife and I had been together for six years. She had an eight-year-old daughter who was only two when we first met. When I came into their lives, the girls father had already vanished months before her birth. Then, out of the blue, he showed up at our doorstep in December while I was at work. The first time my daughter saw him, he barely spared her a glance.

Two weeks passed, and suddenly my wife announced theyd agreed to shared custody. She refused to tell me where the man lived or even give me his number.

My wife always drove our daughter to school and fetched her from after-school clubs. But then, at the start of January, the girl began resisting visits to her fathers. She said he was frightening, his place filthy, and she couldnt sleep there. In front of her mother, she told me she no longer wanted to go. Then, last Friday

My wife finished work at eight in the evening and was meant to collect our daughter straight after. By nine, they still werent home, and she wasnt answering her phone. I rang her sisters, her motherno one knew where she was. I even went to her workplace, but it was empty.

Just after two in the morning, they finally walked in. I stood up, furious. My wife gave me an innocent look and muttered, Sorry. Her story was this: Her phone had died at work. She drove to her exs place but thought no one was home. Unable to call, she waited. They finally turned up after nine, clutching takeaway food. The father claimed theyd walked to the shop and picked up dinner on the way back. My wife went inside, let them finish eating, then dozed off on the sofa. She woke at quarter to two and rushed home, blaming exhaustion from a long day.

Later, she gave me his address and asked me to drop our daughter off the next day. When we arrived, I found a rundown shack by the road in a rough part of town! Cockroaches everywhere, beer bottles strewn about. The man sat there in his underpants, staring blankly at nothing. I turned right around and brought our daughter home.

That evening, I learned my wife had been giving him money from our household budget, even topping up his phone. Had they become a couple again? Either way, Id had enough of the lies. I wouldnt put it past them to have slept together.

Last night, I told her to leavebut demanded our daughter stay. This is the only place shes safe. I wont send her back to that hovel! Her grandmother fully supports her living with me, and legally, Im listed as her guardian.

I dont see another choice. Ill have to see how things unfold from here.
